MY three-year-old son Bobby, already a keen York City supporter, went to Bootham Crescent for the Family Fun Day with myself, his dad, and Alex, his little girlfriend from nursery.
We all had a lovely time, despite Bobby being frightened of Yorkie, the lion mascot, bless him.
Bobby met lots of footballers and looked around the ground, and he loved it.
He loved his signed football too.
He was very happy to meet Richard Brodie.
The only disappointment of the day was that Jackie McNamara, the manager, didn’t appear to be present.
Despite this, we all had a lovely time and we are looking forward to watching another match there when the season starts.
