I WAS shocked but not surprised at the problems of York City Knights not being able to play games at Bootham Crescent.
This goes back to Leeds in the Challenge Cup, where eventually they were allowed to play.
This does not happen at Huddersfield, where both clubs seem to get on to the extent that the ground holds Test games for rugby league.
There seems no compromise where sport and representation of the city suffers in whatever sport is played at the Crescent.
Sorry but both clubs need to do better, then they could both determine what they want to do.
There seems to be no direction and no long-term plan, or any plan, and now I fear for both clubs’ existence.
