THE Lord of Mayor of York, Cllr Dave Taylor, has today launched the Great Yorkshire Fringe at the Great Northern Comedy Trail in Parliament Street, York.
Run by director and York resident Martin Witts, the festival of comedy, theatre, cabaret, music, and family entertainment will run in three locations on a “village green”, as well as the new Gillygate Shed at The Gillygate pub.
In its second year, the festival has doubled to 300 events and span three weekends and ticket sales are twice those of this time last year.
