A climate change quiz will be held next week to celebrate World Environment Day.
The event will take place on Tuesday, at the city's Eco Depot, in James Street, as part of the Climate Talk project.
The year-long project is backed by The Press and aimed at increasing awareness of the issue among the over-50s in North Yorkshire.
Members of the public are being invited to go along for a morning of fun and information about climate change and what they can do to make a difference.
They will have a chance to test their knowledge with the climate change quiz, watch videos on different issues and win prizes.
The event is free, but by ticket only. It takes place from 9am to midday and places are limited.
Anyone who wants to go along should phone Jenny on 01904 432897 or email info@climatetalk.org.uk
