MILLER'S junior netballers doubled up for success at the York and District Youth League's end-of-season tournament.
The club's Millerpedes won the Bugs' competition, played by year seven and eight girls while Miller's Kestrels clinched victory in the Birds' section for year nine and ten girls.
The final Bugs standings were: 1 Millerpedes (Millers) 25 points, 2 Haxbees (Haxby) 24, 3 Bumblebees (Elvington) 21, 4 Whiteflies (Rawcliffe) 19, 5 Butterflies (Rufforth), Weevils (Rawcliffe) 17, 7 Hornets (Haxby) 16, 8 Humbugs (Hemingbrough) 14, 9 Wasps (Rawcliffe) 13, 10 Grasshoppers (Osbaldwick) 12.
Kestrels won the Birds contest after losing just one match to finish ahead of Elvington Penguins second, Miller's Macaws third, Haxby Eagles fourth and Osbaldwick Grasshoppers fifth.
The league season might now be over but a Taster Day' for new players will be held on Saturday, July 7 with application forms being distributed to primary schools.
