IS there any wonder our children are like they are these days, with no respect for anyone? I blame the schools as much as parents.
Earlier this month, my daughter picked a bus pass up in the street.
After failing to find the owner by looking in the phone book and asking about, I posted the bus pass on to Sherburn High School, a few days later.
The bus pass was valid until August 2008 for travel between Tadcaster bus station and Sherburn High School and return. It must have had quite a good value.
To date, I have not even had so much as a phone call or letter to say thanks from the pupil, nor a phone call from the school to acknowledge receipt.
So my point is: if the school can't be bothered, what lesson is this putting out to the children?
