I wonder if any review of the plan to ban cars from the propossed access route through the Nestlé development site has considered those who live in Haleys Terrace and Huntington Road and surrounding streets.

These streets are already congested by road traffic and gridlocked at times of the day, allowing another road to disgorge traffic into this area is sheer lunacy.

Housing in the new development will itself bring more road traffic into the area, so please, York council planners, use some commonsense and stick to your original proposal.

If it can be justified to allow traffic onto this new pedestrian link road, then it may just as well be permittable to open Vyner Street up to road traffic - which, incidentally, I dont advocate.
