THE Archbishop of York has encouraged people to try praying.
Archbishop John Sentamu, who is continuing his Pilgrimage of Prayer, Witness and Blessing, will be in Beverley, in the East Riding of Yorkshire from March 1 to 6.
He will join the Churches Together event at Beverley Minster on Wednesday, March 2 at 7.30pm, visit Beverley County Hall to lead prayers in the council chamber and will spend time with the fostering team at the council.
On Thursday, March 3, Archbishop Sentamu will meet military students, staff and families at the Defence School of Transport, and visit the Jacob’s Well shop whose founders Beryl and Peter Beynon feature as part of John Sentamu’s Faith Stories book as published in 2013.
