TIME is up for one of York's familiar faces, after more than two centuries.
Workmen have been on the roof of the church of All Saints Pavement over the past few days - after one of its clock faces fell off.
It had been in place since 1808 but fell a few months ago and is now being replaced.
Jane Nattrass, priest in charge of York city-centre churches, said it had fallen straight down and toppled on to the roof of the vestry, so did not cause much damage.
She said: "Let's hope that the new clock face lasts over two hundred years."
