AS per usual Heather Causnett’s attitudes belong in days gone past.
Her letter (The Press, February 4) with the ridiculous claim that women prefer to breastfeed in “the full glare of publicity” is ridiculous and unfounded.
Ultimately it should be up to mother to decide when and where are the best times to feed their babies.
They should not have to take into account the prudish opinions of those who don’t approve of a natural and necessary activity, which should not have to be delayed until mothers can find somewhere to hide away from those who don’t approve.
The objectification of women’s breasts in tabloids and lads magazines are surely a more serious issue for those who are shocked by public breastfeeding.
