CLIFTON Moor Pre-School is celebrating its second successive 'outstanding' inspection report.

The pre-school, which shares a site with Lakeside Primary School in Oakdale Road, received the best rating possible from Ofsted, repeating the feat it achieved in 2011.

Following the inspection earlier this month, the report praised the 'exceptional' quality of education and 'inspirational leadership' at the school.

Ofsted also highlighted the key worker partnerships between children and the teaching staff.

Staff said they worked particularly hard to remain outstanding as the inspection had become "much more rigorous" since 2011.

Manager Toni Brett said: “We are so delighted to retain our outstanding status.

"An Ofsted inspection is nerve racking and it’s lovely to hear the inspector offer the same positive feedback we enjoy from our children and their parents.”

Nick Case, chairman of the board, said: “To achieve outstanding under the new inspection regime is so hard now.

"To have done it not just once, but twice, is a testament to the wonderful people we have working in the school, the children who attend and their parents. We are so very proud of you all.”
