CITY Screen, York, will be showing Star Wars: The Force Awakens (12A) in 3D and 2D from one minute past midnight on Thursday morning.
To mark the arrival of the first Star Wars movie in a decade, The Press is running a competition in conjunction with Disney and City Screen to win one 14 inch-high First Order Stormtrooper that utters real phrases from the movie.
Set three decades after Return Of The Jedi, the seventh Star Wars episode sees the return of key figures who kick-started the franchise, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and Chewbacca, with original stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew all returning to their iconic roles.
In a plot that has been kept secret by director/co-writer J. J. Abrams, new characters abound too, such as John Boyega's Finn, a self-doubting stormtrooper; Daisy Ridley's Rey, a scavenger on the desert planet Jakku; and Adam Driver's Kylo Ren, a lightsabre-rattling villain.
