THIEVES broke into a number of cars parked along a North Yorkshire road, police have said.
Five incidents were reported, and all took place at several locations along the A170 between Pickering and Scarborough overnight on Friday, October 30, but details have only now been released by North Yorkshire Police.
The incidents were:
- At about 7.45pm in Mill Lane, Pickering, several personal items were stolen from inside a Vauxhall Corsa.
- At 8pm, at The Grapes pub in Ebberston, thieves smashed the side window of a Renault Clio and stole £800 of items.
- Shortly after 8pm, a black, white and turquoise lady's Scots Speedster Road Bike was stolen from the roof of an Audi A5 parked in the car park of The Downe Arms in Wykeham
- At about the same time, thieves broke into a Volvo parked on Cockrah Road in West Ayton, making off with a small amount of diesel.
- At 8.30pm, in the car park of The Mayfield Hotel in Seamer, the driver’s side window of a Ford Ka was smashed, and valuables and cash was stolen.
