ONE lifesaving organisation which receives little help from the public purse is the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
It relies on charitable giving to raise the money needed to keep its two helicopter ambulances airborne.
Ryedale teenagers Saskia Burke and Luke Clemmit know how vital that is.
The air ambulance saved their lives after they were both seriously injured in a car accident.
This is one charity well worth supporting.
