ONE of the biggest post-season junior football tournaments in the York area was getting underway today.

Rawcliffe Juniors FC are holding their annual tournament which has attracted 96 entries this year.

Hundreds of youngsters will be battling it out from Under-7s up to U14s at Rawcliffe Recreation and Sportsfield, St Mark's Road.

As well as some very competitve football matches, the two-day event also includes a barbeque, refreshments, bouncy castle, tombola, prize draw, beat the goalie competition and sideshow stalls.

Car parking is available at the ground for morning games and at Eastholme Drive Primary School in the afternoon.
