A MAN has been arrested after a woman suffered "substantial facial injuries" in a York street.
North Yorkshire Police said the incident happened close to the junction of Piccadilly and Tower Street, near the entrance of the car park to St Georges field in York, on the morning of Wednesday, August 13.
A 28-year-old woman and a man were involved in the incident, which led to the woman receiving what police called "substantial facial injuries" when she fell to the floor.
A spokesman said a 23-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the incident, and released on police bail.
