CELEBRATING students at Tadcaster Grammar faced torrential downpours as they made their way into the glamorous end of year prom.
The heavens opened as students arrived, but armed with umbrellas or just braving the elements, the Year 11 students arrived in style, to mark the end of five years of hard work and culminating in their GCSE examinations.
Open-top sports cars, a Lamborghini, a Maserati, cars with personalised number plates, a single decker bus, vintage cars, a camper van, an ice cream van and even a pair of tractors all transported students to their special celebration evening.
Eventually the sun came out and a rainbow appeared as students gathered for a group photograph with the head teacher Martyn Sibley.
Once inside, Toulston Hall was bedecked with blue and white flower arrangements, balloons and a specially created prom cake, and students danced the night away in a specially erected marquee attached to the hall.
