TODAY I paid a quick visit to York city centre and instead of using the bus I decided to drive as I had things to buy.
I have previously used Tanner Row but decided to go to the Castle car park. Big mistake on my part.
Apart from the astronomical cost of £6.30 for three hours, even with a resident's permit, it was like parking on a bomb site.
The condition is outrageously bad. Potholes everywhere, uneven surface, and parking bays way too small for the modern car.
Come on City of York Council, surely you can do better than this?
Some of the car parks further out of the centre are in much better shape. Surely the one in the centre should be able to keep up?
