A CYCLIST was injured in York when he was hit by the rear passenger door of a car.
The incident happened at about 8.40am last Tuesday and involved a cyclist and a burgundy vehicle, thought to be a Ford.
The vehicle was stationary at the cross roads traffic lights at The Mount and as the cyclist rode past the vehicle he was in collision with a rear seat passenger door, knocking him off his bike.
North Yorkshire Police said the passenger got out of the vehicle and walked away and the vehicle did not stop after the accident, leaving the cyclist with minor injuries.
