HUNDREDS of stylish steampunk enthusiasts visited York this weekend.
Members of the White Rose Yorkshire Steampunks descended on the National Railway Museum on Saturday, as part of their annual 'invasion'.
Recent years have seen more than 100 Steampunk enthusiasts attend the NRM, dressed in a mixture of Victorian finery and mechanical clockwork, brass, goggles and long coats, with a even more in attendance this year.
Phil Dunkley, who took part in the visit, said: "It went very well. It's not the first time it's happened at the NRM, but this was much bigger than it has been in previous years."
Organiser, Rodney Fellows, said: “We all had an amazing day.
"The visit to York has been going for three years now. It started with about 20 to 30 people, the second year we had about 110 and this year we had between 150 and 200 people, which was absolutely astonishing."
