FRIENDS of York Walls are appealing for new people to join a band of volunteer guides at the Fishergate Postern Tower.
The Friends are opening the Tudor tower in Piccadilly from 10am to 4pm today and tomorrow, as part of the Viking Festival, and are inviting people interested in getting involved to pay a visit.
The Postern Tower will be open on bank holidays and other occasions throughout the year, including school half- term holidays, and, during the Festival Of Ideas, curators from the Yorkshire Museum will be at the tower showing visitors unusual artefacts found in the Fishergate area.
