A NEW brochure promoting the Yorkshire Wolds and surrounding area has been produced to encourage tourists to come for overnight breaks.
Fifty thousand copies of Yorkshire Wolds And Beyond are being distributed to tourist information centres, on board P&O Ferries and for people to request online.
Launched by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY), and backed up with a national advertising campaign, it features the Wolds’ links to the work of David Hockney, as well as walking and cycling routes, and other attractions.
Tourism brings £497 million per year to the East Yorkshire economy, and supports more than 11,000 jobs.
Angela Sissons, proprietor of the Ramblers’ Rest in Millington, said: “We are really pleased to be featured in the new Yorkshire Wolds And Beyond Guide and are excited to be involved in marketing for this amazing part of the county.
“We are proud to have built up a successful business in such an unspoilt area of natural beauty.”
