A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy has been seriously injured in a road accident in Selby.
North Yorkshire Police said the pedestrian collision, which involved a silver car, happened on Barlby Road at about 3.25pm today.
"An ambulance transported the boy to York Hospital with serious injuries," said a force spokesman.
"Local diversions are currently in place while the police investigate the collision scene."
He urged witnesses to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room, quoting reference NYP-19012015-0276.
