IN response to Ken Holmes letter of January 3, I never said foxes eat humans.
Next time you read a letter, Ken, put your glasses on.
Ken asks how many chickens, ducks, rabbits, pheasant chicks a fox kills. Well, not as many as us humans.
We kill every year 945 million chickens, 18 million turkeys, 14 million ducks, every year because we don’t need them. Plus millions of hens used for laying eggs spend their lives in total confinement from day one until they are killed.
So Ken, we are the champions of mass slaughter of anything that lives on this planet. Also you like statistics: York area – violence plus sexual offences 883, theft from persons 221, antisocial behaviour 3,483, criminal damage and arson 405, shoplifting 895.
Now Ken, just to let you know these crimes were done by the human criminals. In your words “you can keep an eye on them”. The fox wasn’t involved in any of the above.
