IN THE Press of December 29, the council said that a number of buses are having to be axed or scaled down because of a shortage of money and not many passengers.
This will affect the out-of-town villages. Maybe they should look at the number 44 university bus before they cut back any other.
This bus, which is normally a double-decker, runs every ten minutes from one side of York to the other, with very few people on board, wasting petrol and sending out fumes. Perhaps they should get their priorities right.
