HUNDREDS of walkers took part in an annual Boxing Day pilgrimage from Ripon Cathedral to Fountains Abbey.
The four-mile pilgrimage, led by the Bishop of Knaresborough, the Rt Rev James Bell, followed a service at the cathedral.
The walk took the route of a group of 12th Century Cistercian monks who walked from the cathedral on December 26, 1132, to found the abbey.
