Adele Carnell of Filmore & Union tells us how to make mouth watering almond, hemp and raisin raw chocolate.

Why give your loved ones mass produced sugar laden chocolates when you can give them the real deal…

Especially when it's totally healthy and undeniably delicious! You can make this up in a matter of 5 minutes - then you just have to be patient enough to wait for it to freeze.

Raw cacao is packed with antioxidants and mood boosting properties - along with the protein packed almond and hemp seeds to really boost the goodness.

We sprinkled on some raisins and cinnamon for that festive flavour and added sweetness.

To make 1 large slab, you will need:

• 2/3 cup raw cacao
• 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
• 1/3 cup maple syrup/raw honey
• Handful organic raisins
• 1tbsp hemp seeds
• 1/2tsp cinnamon
• 1tbsp flaked almonds


1. Combine the first three ingredients in a bowl and stir until it’s a runny (but not too thin) consistency.

2. Line a tray with parchment paper and pour the mixture on top, ensuring it’s totally even.

3. Sprinkle on the raisins, hemp seeds, almonds and cinnamon and place the tray in the freezer for 30 minutes.

4. Gently peel the parchment paper off and break in to pieces
