A ROYAL Mail post box has been knocked out of the ground by a van which crashed into it this morning.
The van is believed to have hit a patch of black ice in Oakdale, Harrogate, at about 8.45am, and lost control before hitting the post box.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said the van came to rest on top of the post box, but nobody was injured in the incident.
