A WHISKY expert from York will be sharing his knowledge with drinkers around the world, after writing his first book on the subject.

Joe Clark, who works at The Whisky Lounge in Osbaldwick Lane, has written The Ultimate Book of Whisky, which includes reviews of more than 200 of the finest whiskies.

Each entry is accompanied with colour photography, historical information and detailed tasting notes describing the appearance, style and unique flavours of the whisky. An accompanying tasting notes book enables the drinker to jot down their own impressions, to help remember favourites for the future.

Mr Clark said: "The book is really pitched at those who are new to whisky and offers a fantastic introduction to the spirit, however there is enough historical info attached to each distillery entry to keep it entertaining to even the most seasoned whisky drinker."

He said sales figures from Parragon said more than 20,000 copies have been printed globally. The cover price is £25 and the ISBN for anyone looking for the book is 9781472351876.
