AN art project to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice will be displayed inside Goole Museum after a youth council called for it to be installed.

Fallen, by Martin Waters, will be on display until January 15.

The artwork has created soldiers from poppies as part of the Poppy Challenge which commemorates 100 years since the beginning of the First World War.

Debbie Hardy, Goole Museum curator, said: “This really is a fantastic example of young people taking the lead and making things happen, we should be proud of them – long may it continue.”

Mr Waters added: “It is great that they wanted to recognise the bravery of men and women from the Goole area, and felt so strongly that they took action.”
