A PENSIONER has died after falling from a cliff in North Yorkshire.
The 72-year-old man was walking at Malham Cove on Wednesday when police believe he fell and died from his injuries.
The victim, from Osset, West Yorkshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was wearing black walking trousers, a checked shirt, black sleeveless jacket, black North Face walking shoes and carrying a blue rucksack.
Although officers believe there are no suspicious circumstances, inquiries are being carried out on behalf of the coroner to investigate the circumstances leading up to death.
Det Sgt Steve Menzies, of Harrogate CID, said: “I urge anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen someone matching the description of the man to get in touch with the police by calling 101 as soon as possible, so I can establish his movements.”
