PLANS to close the youth advice centre at Castlegate will be under scrutiny at a special council committee this evening.
The Corporate Scrutiny and Management Committee will meet at 5pm today at the council's West Offices, to look again at the proposals to close the Castlegate building and move its services into West Offices.
After the plan was first approved by the council cabinet on October 9, it was "called in" for further debate by councillors from Conservative, Liberal Democrat and Green groups.
If the committee of 11 councillors decide not to support the cabinet decision, they can send the matter back to cabinet with recommendations to change their decision.
