WITH regards to 17,000 new homes being built in and around York meaning an extra 17,000 cars needing accommodating (The Press, September 30).
Your correspondents on this matter are assuming, wrongly, that one car fits one household. In my book this day and age, two-car families or more are more likely.
Hence it may be 34,000 or more cars to cluttering up York. What says the Green Party about this?
Incidentally, to alleviate a possible influx of cyclists, why aren’t cycle manufacturers cashing in and making more tandems?
