LAST Saturday I did something I never planned and have never done before. I bought goods from York Market.
I was in town for lunch and happened to be walking down Parliament Street where strawberries were being sold off cheaply late in the afternoon.
I ended up buying a whole load of fruit and veg.
This never occurred when the market was hidden away and is extremely unlikely to happen again when it goes back there. Even if it is renamed Shambles Market.
