TWO men were arrested after North Yorkshire Police found a large amount of cash during a traffic stop.
Officers from the Road Policing Group pulled over a white Volkswagen Golf on the A1 northbound near Boroughbridge at about 8.15pm on Thursday.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found a large amount of cash - believed to be about £6,000 - in the glove box which the occupants of the vehicle could not account for.
A 34-year-old man from Bingley and a 31-year-old man from Bradford were arrested at the scene on suspicion of money laundering.
Both men have been released on police bail until later this year.
