COPMANTHORPE Parish Council is appealing for people’s views on its Neighbourhood Plan for the village.
Work has been going on to compile the plan for two years, and now the parish council has launched a “pre submission consultation” to hear what villagers think before the document is submitted to City of York Council.
The plan has been set out to make sure Copmanthorpe is developed to meet the needs and views of residents, and to ensure any future development respects the village’s character.
The consultation will last for six weeks from today before the plan is sent to the city council for a wider consultation, inspection by an independent examiner and, eventually, a parish referendum.
Copies are available online at www.plan4copmanthorpe.org.uk, from Copmanthorpe library or post office, or by emailing copmanpc@gmail.com.
