Police investigating a 14-year-old murder have found human bones at a North Yorkshire beauty spot.
Martin Bell, 43, of St Leonard’s Crescent, Scarborough, has appeared before Leeds Crown Court charged with the murder of Gemma Simpson, 23, who disappeared in Leeds in 2000.
Her family have been told of the discovery at Brimham Rocks near Harrogate.
The remains have not been identified and the rocks remain open to the public.
