BEAUTY, it is said, is in the eye of the beholder and York Dungeon is looking for a Carnivàle Queen with a difference.
The attraction, which celebrates 2,000 years of York’s dark history, isn’t looking for sequins or glamour and poise, but a queen or even a king, who will encapsulate the York Dungeon carnival spirit.
People from all walks of life and all shapes and sizes are encouraged to apply.
The winner will be selected and crowned on Friday, August 1, which is also Yorkshire Day and all prospective Carnivàle Queens will need to do to enter is submit their photos, along with a few lines or 140 characters of why they’re the best person for the job and e-mail york.dungeons@merlinentertainments.biz or upload to Facebook at facebook.com/TheYorkDungeon and Twitter at twitter.com/ YorkDungeon using the #carnivalequeen
