A SERIES of open days will give people the chance to explore the site of an archaeological dig.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council and York Archaeological Trust will open the Leisure World project in Bridlington every Saturday until August 30, from 11am to 2pm, to let people view what has been found in the land.
Potential remains of ‘Fort Hall’ have been discovered, an 18th century building which stood on the site.
Three brick-lined wells have been unearthed under the hall, which suggests that access to water was needed in that location in the century or so before the hall was built.
