CYCLISTS inspired by the Tour de France’s visit to York are being offered the chance to go on a free guided bike ride this summer.
City of York council, in partnership with British cycling, is running a series of Sky Rides.
Councillor Sonja Crisp, cabinet member for leisure, culture and tourism, said: “British Cycling has found the best routes, trained friendly leaders to guide and support you, and picked some great places to visit along the way.”
The next three rides set off: at 10am on Sunday, August 3 from Energise leisure centre; at 1pm on Wednesday, August 6 from Rowntree Park; and at 1pm on Thursday, August 7 from York Sport cycle circuit.
