EXHIBITIONS with details about a new potash mine in North Yorkshire will be held this week.
The public events will include displays of the new plans for the mine, which is planned for an area in the North York Moors National Park south of Whitby, and plans for an underground transport system to move the mineral to Teesside.
The events take place on Thursday, July 17, at Newby and Scalby Community Hall, between 1pm and 6pm, and on Friday, July 18, at Scarborough Town Hall, between 10am and 2pm.
A planning application for the mine will be submitted to the North York Moors National Park Authority at the end of September.
