11 great Tour de France costumes
IT wasn't all about lycra and crash helmets for the thousands of spectators who lined the streets of Yorkshire to cheer on the world-class cyclists for the Grand Depart.
Among the ranks of people watching Le Tour, were some fun, funny and inventive outfits, and here are a few of the best we saw.
Some kept it simple...
Some roped in their friends...
Some combined health and safety with national stereotype...
While others got a little cheeky...
Some kept it patriotic...
And even York Minster got involved...
Of course, some had no say in the matter...
But they managed to pull it off...
