IN a recent letter I asked for the repainting of the “no right turn” road signage in Lendal/Museum Street.
Nothing has been done and traffic now blatantly ignores the regulation all day and every day as a matter of course, particularly delivery drivers, who verbally abuse pedestrians who object.
Where are the police or traffic wardens in this situation?
The road signage was there for 50 years to my knowledge and there were few, if any, problems. I’m amazed that such a simple problem is proving so difficult to resolve. If James Alexander sends me a pot of paint, I’ll do it myself.
If we elderly citizens are to be treated as skittles waiting to be knocked over, could I point out that we are council tax paying skittles.
