I READ that police officers in North Yorkshire used tasers 42 times against children in the last five years (The Press, June 10).
The headline-grabbing font size makes this sound very bad, but reading more closely the police are often just showing the taser.
We all know how unruly kids can be, especially teenagers. Police don’t use force unless needed and then as a last resort. I’m surprised its only 42 times.
The police have the tools to deal with situations, and use them if needed.
