Nov 2: Former City chairman Douglas Craig blasts fans for fighting plans to redevelop Bootham Crescent. Refuses to give any assurances that City will be playing at BC next season nor will he say what rent may be charged next season.

Nov 5: Goalkeeper Russ Howarth joins Tranmere. It is later revealed Rovers have paid just £25,000 for the England Under-21 squad member, although sell-on and appearance clauses are included.

Nov 6: York MP Hugh Bayley backs the campaign objecting to Persimmon's application to build on BC.

Nov 7: Jon McCarthy signs non-contract terms with City. Batchelor answers fans questions on the club's official website. States that the Persimmon sponsorship announced earlier in the year was a four-year deal centred around his motor-racing team. His reply appears to contradict his earlier statement that the deal was for three-years with the money being split between the club and the racing team.

Nov 9: Evening Press reveals Batchelor has been in talks with an unnamed North-east tycoon. Batchelor insists he is not trying to off-load the club but is looking for possible investors. The uncertainty over the ground is believed to have quelled any interest from the anonymous millionaire. Batchelor admits for the first time club is in some financial difficulty but insists the problems are no worse than those experienced by other clubs.

New pressure group Friends of Bootham Crescent is formed to fight plans to build on City's ground. Craig threatens legal action over alleged defamatory remarks made on an unofficial fans' website.

City beat Leyton Orient 3-2. The Evening Press learns that Batchelor has told the players a sponsorship deal is set to go through in the next few days that will ensure they will be paid on time in the future.

Nov 12: Trust name Sophie McGill and Steve Beck as their would-be club directors Persimmon Homes' plans to build on BC suffers major blow when Sport England reveals it has lodged a formal objection.

Nov 13: Batchelor considers a share issue to raise funds for the club. Claims he would be willing to relinquish his majority share-holding in the club, providing he maintains control of the club's commercial activities.

Batchelor calls a hurriedly arranged press conference at Bootham Crescent to call on the Football League's decision makers to resign after refusing to accept his £500million refinancing idea.

Also slams speculation the club is going into administration.

Admits club has an outstanding tax bill for £40,000 that is in the process of being paid but denies club has exceeded its overdraft limit at the bank.

Insists he has not sold the club's house on Grovesnor Terrace but does not rule out putting it on the market in the future.

Confirms Craig and representative from Persimmon were at the board meeting earlier in the day but does not confirm a request for financial assistance was made.

Nov 14: FoBC announce plans for a protest at Saturday's FA Cup game with Swansea and claim BCH will charge City a rent of £250,000 for next season Nov 16: City's FA Cup game with Swansea is postponed, as is the FoBC protest.

Nov 22: Batchelor confirms coach Luther Blissett is to leave the club on a temporary basis to conduct scouting missions abroad. Reckons he has three possible investors to talk to.

Issue of wage-capping is backed by Football League chairmen.

Nov 23: City beat Rochdale 1-0 to move within one point of the play-off places. Trust announce after talks with Batchelor agreement in principle has been reached regarding the fans' body taking over the club. Evening Press reveal plans are afoot to build a new super stadium to house both City and York City Knights.

The proposals on the table - being put together by York firm Guildford Construction, which sponsors the Knights - would mean City moving in to share Huntington Stadium with the rugby league club while the new arena is constructed.

Nov 25: Hugh Bayley holds talks with Persimmon as to their plans for Bootham Crescent. FoBC announce permission has been granted for them to stage their protest against the application to build on Bootham Crescent on the pitch during half-time of City's rearranged FA Cup tie.

Nov 26: City beat Swansea 2-1 in the FA Cup and bank £20,000. Half-time protest by FoBC is upstaged by Batchelor suddenly declaring to the crowd he is willing to transfer all his shares to the Trust as soon as possible.

Nov 27: Batchelor confirms club is going into a CVA and players are told they won't be getting paid. Backroom staff to get only half their monthly salary. Trust express surprise at Batchelor's pledge to transfer his 100 per cent stake as soon as possible.

Nov 28: Batchelor back-tracks by claiming only 76 per cent of his share-holding will be transferred in the first instance, the rest to follow later. Players slam the chairman for failing to tell them in person of wage problems.

Dolan promises to stand-by the club but on-loan Lee Cook is first casualty of the cash-crisis as the winger returns to Watford prematurely. McCarthy signs a one-month contract with Carlisle United.

Nov 29: Fans urged to attend York City's game with Carlisle in a mass show of support for the club. Club announce PFA are willing to help the players financially. Trust claim Batchelor's position is untenable and infer the conditions he has attached to the proposed share transfer are not workable.

Nov 30: Insolvency experts now running the club advise Batchelor from making any more public statements. Evening Press calls on Batchelor to go. Leaked BCH accounts show Batchelor bought City for £1 and house on Grovesnor Terrace was sold for £125,000 as part of the takeover.
