TWENTY-TWENTY vision was on line for York golf star Simon Dyson.
After lightning curtailed the first round of the Laguna National Championship tournament tin Singapore, Dyson still had two more holes to complete before then tackling today;'s scheduled second round.
His immediate aim was to remain under-par after he struggled on an opening day which was dominated by Thailand's Panuphol Pittayarat, who came in with a nine-under-par 63 to head the field by one shot.
Such a command of the course at Tampines remained out of the 36-year-old Dyson';s reach in the first round.
He dropped a shot on the par-five second and again on the par-three fourth, though sandwiched between was a birdie on the third.
Dyson, up to 181st place in the world rankings after his joint eight finish in last week's Volvo China Open, got back level with a two on the 181-yard eighth.
Six pars then followed before Dyson at last dipped under-par when he birdied the 15th to position him in a three-way tie for 85th place ahead of his 20 holes to determine whether he would make the half-way cut.
