NOT for the first time, I have paid £4 for just over an hour’s parking at York Hospital.
I arrived at noon for a 12.15 appointment, which was on time and went according to plan.
I returned straight away to the car park at just after 1 pm and was charged for two hours’ parking.
I appreciate that when visiting patients, it is easy enough to control how long one parks, but not when coming for appointments.
I have visited many car parks abroad where parking fees, after the first hour, are charged at shorter intervals; one at three minute intervals.
Is it beyond the wit of the company who controls the fees system to set up shorter intervals – or is the hospital simply being greedy?
