NORTH Yorkshire snooker pro Paul Davison's dreams of reaching the final stages of a ranking event for the second time in three months were shattered in a final frame decider.
The 35-year-old Pickering player lost out 5-4 to Ben Woollaston in his first qualifying match at Prestatyn, Wales, for next month's Welsh Open.
Davison qualified for the televised stages of the Royal London Watches Grand Prix, in Aberdeen, last October and had been hopeful of repeating the feat.
