THE search is on for people in York and North Yorkshire aged 50 or over to take part in a focus group about climate change.

Scientists at the University of York's Stockholm Environment Institute are running the discussions as part of the year-long Climate Talk project, run in conjunction with The Press. The forums last an-hour-and-a-quarter and aim to gauge the opinions of older people towards global warming.

The sessions will run at Kings Manor, in Museum Street, at different times tomorrow and on Wednesday, between 10.30am and 6.15pm.

No prior knowledge of climate change is needed and older people who go along will have refreshments and a £10 gift to cover their expenses.

To take part, phone Dr Gary Haq on 01904 432917 or email gary.haq@sei.se as soon as possible.
