ANTAGONISM between England and Scotland seems to be in the news from time to time, but I must say I think the Scottish people are mostly a compassionate lot.
Whenever I've been "up against it", who has come to the rescue, picked up any broken pieces and put me together again?
Scots. For sheer practical help, Scots are hard to beat.
As I am part English, part descended from Walmgate Irish, I have no particular axe to grind for Scotland.
